Pati Regency (01/08) – Community Service Program (KKN) students from Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) have carried out the Socialisation of the Urgency of Duties and Functions of Village Apparatus based on the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 6 of 2016 to Prevent Overlapping Positions in Pakis Village Government, Tayu District, Pati Regency.

This program was held at Pakis Village Hall on Tuesday, 1 August 2023 which aimed to increase the understanding of all Pakis Village Officials about the duties and functions of village officials that apply in accordance with the Minister of Home Affairs regulation. Undip KKN students shared knowledge about the importance of village officials knowing their duties and functions while working to prevent overlapping positions.

The socialisation that was carried out contained material on the importance of deeply understanding the duties and functions of employees as evidence that the performance of public servants had a strong synergy to support the success of public service delivery to the community. This programme aims to increase employee knowledge as well as provide motivation for Pakis Village Officials to be enthusiastic about working to develop the village by providing banners on the duties and functions of village officials according to the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 6 of 2016.

Undip KKN students held a socialisation program on the urgency of the duties and functions of village officials based on Permendagri No. 6/2016 to Prevent Overlapping Positions to all Pakis Village Officials. With the socialisation from Undip KKN students, Pakis Village officials now have a better understanding of the importance of duties and functions that serve as guidelines for their work. They are able to identify and explain the duties and functions in each position. This programme is expected to have an impact on changes in the performance of Pakis Village Officials in providing services to the community in Pakis Village.

Thus, the socialisation program of the urgency of the duties and functions of village officials based on the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 6 of 2016 to Prevent Overlapping Positions in Pakis Village Government by Undip KKN Students showed the need for in-depth understanding by all village officials to improve employee performance in the public sector so that there would be no overlapping issues in an organisation. This can have an impact on the improvement of public services in Indonesia.
