Public Mengabdi 2022 was a community service activity carried out in Candimulyo Village, Sedan District, Rembang Regency. The target of this Public Mengabdi 2022 activity was the Candimulyo Village community, Sedan District, Rembang Regency. The theme of Public Mengabdi held in 2022 was “Empowering the Potential of Candimulyo Village with Socialization, Action, and Literacy“.

Community service is an extracurricular activity that provides opportunities for students to learn and work with the community by performing empowerment without expecting certain rewards. Community service is part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Empowerment carried out is a process conducted jointly between students and the community to get the best solution or way out of the problems faced by utilizing the potential of a particular area.

In terms of empowerment, students can apply the knowledge that has been obtained in college. This is one of the objectives of community service activities. In general, the purpose of community service is to be able to practice and cultivate science and technology to advance the welfare of the surrounding community. Providing solutions in solving problems faced by the community by utilizing the potential of the service area, appropriate technology, and entrepreneurship to encourage community economic development. Moreover, students can apply the knowledge gained in college to help the development and preparation of society to welcome the era of modernization.

Universitas Diponegoro, one of the best universities in Indonesia that is competent and qualified, has the aim of producing quality students and graduates based on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Therefore, HMPS Public Administration FISIP UNDIP REMBANG is one of the platforms that encourage the success of Public Administration Study Program students in creating quality students and benefiting the community in the real world.

This was done through a community service activity called Publik Mengabdi. It aimed to apply the knowledge gained in college to help the development and preparation of the community in facing the era of modernization. This included utilizing the potential that existed in certain areas and providing solutions to problems faced by the community through entrepreneurship to encourage community economic development.

In this activity, various activities were carried out. one of them was the socialization of MSMEs at the location. Socialization activities were carried out by Rembang Campus Bachelor of Public Administration Lecturers, Mochamad Rizki Fitrianto S.AP., M.AP., Indra Devian Lumban Gaol S.AP., M.AP., and Juang Abdi Muhammad S.AP., M.AP. along with the Central Java Province MSME Service Practitioner, Galuh Rakasiwi.

The form of socialization activities carried out was aimed to strengthen the creative economy in the village both managerially, in production, and promotion. Among them were how to strengthen the position of BumDes and the MSME Association, Packaging, and how to promote village potential with a digital literacy approach. It is hoped that this activity will accelerate the growth of the village economy and on an ongoing basis, there will be cooperation between the village and the University, one of which is as a Fostered Village.
